Product Description Harasim is a unique gift for ages 5-105. Each kit contains a broken clay vessel that was made by a professional potter as a replica of an historic vessel. Also included are instructions, tools and glue for the restoration of the vessel. You will also find some historical information about the vessel, its usage, and the Jewish traditions or historical site and period that it relates to. In addition this kit includes the Jewish blessings that relate to the vessel and explanation about the Jewish holiday or ritual. You will also find a page printed with the ancient Hebrew alphabet as well as the modern Hebrew and English alphabet to enable you to encode the script on the vessel.
This kit is an ancient oil lamp from the plains of Judea dates to the Hellenistic period 332 B.C. A bottle of olive oil from the Judean hills is included for lighting the candles.
