The candles in this section are raw paraffin candles, imported from Germany and hand dipped and finished in California. Non-toxic pigment dyes are used for the color coats, giving a finish that is fade resistant. Specially blended dipping wax is mixed with pigments to produce the color coat, which has a higher melting point than the raw candle. Therefore, the color coat burns slower resulting in a candle that is dripless under still-air conditions. The highest quality paraffin and hard waxes are used, with oil content of less than .5%. This results in a clean burn and long burning times. Combined with a 100% cotton wicks, a large beautiful flame is produced. On some candles gold or silver is hand applied and with heat is integrated into the color coat of the candle.
