Floral Filigree Decorated Mezuzah Case by Ben-Zion David

This mezuzah case is shaped as a half cylinder with filigree leaf design on both ends. There is also a band of diamond shapes and groups of small silver balls soldered together to form flowers, and topped with the Hebrew letter Shin.

Ben-Zion David (Benzi), an Israeli artist, is an eight-generation Yemenite silversmith. At the age of ten he began helping his father in his workshop preparing and interweaving the silver threads for fine filigree creations. Each of Ben-Zion's items is cataloged by number and guaranteed for life.
