Product Description In popular use for over fifteen hundred years, the Hamsa (Hamsa), from the Semitic root meaning five, is a representation of the protective hand of God. Hand amulets are common in many cultures as talismans to ward off the evil eye and, appropriately, many Hamsas have a single eye embedded in the center of the palm to depict God’s watchful presence. Jews were among the first to use the amulet for protection, and today it is commonly worn or hang on the wall as a good luck charm.
This Hamsa is decorated with an intricate floral design in the center, and a row of fine Swarovski crystals around the border. The necklace and Hamsa pendant are made of a light zinc alloy and finished with pewter plating, pendant is decorated with light blue crystals.
~ The necklace is 20” long and the Hamsa pendant drops down 1 ½”.
