Skilled crafts people who take personal pride in every item is what makes Salisbury Pewter’s handiwork truly heirloom quality. The Massachusetts Julep Cup is part of Salisbury’s “America’s Story in Pewter” collection. ~ Cup is 3”dia. and 3.5”tall, holds 8 oz. THE MASSACHUSETTS CUP STORY:Massachusetts, considered by many to be the birthplace of American Pewter making, has given us some of our finest craftsmen. Richard Graves, thought to be America’s finest pewterer, settled in Salem in 1635, but unfortunately no examples of his work are known to have survived. Salisbury Pewter’s Massachusetts Cup reflects the design taste of a later craftsman, the famous Oliver Trask; Beverly, circa 1822-1839. Trask has left us with some excellent examples of Massachusetts pewter including the unusual beaker that was the inspiration for this cup. CARING FOR PEWTER:

~ Should your pewter ever need polishing, there are several good products available.
~ When storing your pewter, always wrap it in the original wrapping foam to avoid scratching.
~ Never wrap pewter in tissue paper as fine line scratching will occur.
