Pewter - What is it made of?~ What is Pewter made of?

The content of authentic pewter is highly regulated all over the world and the US follows the accepted and official standards of the world. Pewter is an alloy of Tin, Copper and Antimony. That’s it – nothing else. ‘Old World Pewte’r follows the age-old standards that are officially adopted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Federal Trade Commission. The standard being at least 91% Tin with other elements being Copper and Antimony consistent with pewter alloys. ‘Old World Pewter’ uses a formula that exceeds the worldwide standards; they use 94-95% pure standardized Tine, 3% pure sanitary Copper and 1 ½-2% sanitary Antimony.
