Yossi Steinberg is a contemporary Israeli artist who uses hand painted acrylic resin in combination with silver-plated wire to create beautiful Judaic art. He also incorporates beads and Judaic symbols. His style is whimsical yet rich in color and composition. Yossi was born in Israel and studied at both Hebrew University and the Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem. He presently works and resides in Neve Tzedek, the artist colony of Tel-Aviv.
This mezuzah case features a “Rimon” Pomegranate and flowers. An old Jerusalem “window” reveals the western wall. The base is brushed aluminum and the sides of the case are made of wood. The result of this interesting mix of materials is stunning! While the basic shape of this mezuzah is consistence, the finished colors and decorations vary in each making it one-of-a-kind piece of art.
