Product Description This cloverleaf map of the world, showing Jerusalem in the center, is a replica, designed by Israeli artist Miriam Hirszowicz. The original map is in a book by Henricus Buenting, a German preacher and Protestant senior minister. The book , published in 1581 is a “Travel book covering the entire Holy Scripture”.
This piece was created from sterling silver by an electroforming process- a sophisticated contemporary art using electrochemical means to form a hollow metallic body.
~ This unique artwork should be treated with care and not be exposed to extreme heat. Gentle buffing with silver cloth can always quickly restore the high gloss. Dropping the piece can result in dents.
~ The framed piece measures 9.5” x 9.5”.
